Purpose: To calculate the monthly energy balance for each building in a given region.

Key Outputs:

Energy and electrical demand.

Energy consumption.

Peak loads for heating, cooling, lighting, and appliances.

All results are provided on both a monthly and yearly basis.

Underlying Assumptions:

No buildings in the region have attics.

All buildings have basements, but they are unheated.

Construction details are sourced from NRCAN.

Building usage details are sourced from NRCAN.

System details are sourced from the Montreal Custom catalog.

Simulations use the local EnergyPlus Weather (EPW) file for the area.
